The whole hockey world is busy watching the Stanley Cup final. With the Penguins leading the series 3-2, tomorrow's game will be a turning point fort both teams. It's litterally a do or die for the Preds, but also a chance to improve the glorious legacy of Sidney Crosby's career.
However, another party is patiently waiting on the Cup final to end. According to insider Bob McKenzie, the Buffalo Sabres are waiting on the Stanley Cup to be awarded before hiring their new head coach.
One thing is striking with this proposition. Both Rick Tocchet and Jacques Martin are behind the Penguins' bench at the moment. The Sabres are probably recognizing the amazing hockey that is being played in Pittsburgh this decade and look to grab a piece of it.
Arguably, hiring a coach is no small task, but having the track record these guys have will make things a bit easier.
