Right now the Ottawa Senators aren't talking and it's hard to blame them given the circumstances.

On Saturday after an absolutely incredible game between the New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators, Ottawa Senators head coach Guy Boucher addressed the elephant in the room. The first period injury to veteran Clarke MacArthur.

Boucher would only tell the media that MacArthur had an upper-body injuryhowever due to MacArthur' terrible history with concussions many were concerned that the big hit from Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh may have rattled his brain.

MacArthur's absence if it proves to be long-term could have a devastating impact on the Senators playoff hopes, both on the ice and in terms of team morale. By all accounts MacArthur is one of the most respected men in that locker room, and to see him go down after missing 18 months of action has to be a very tough pull to swallow.
