UPDATE: The Jets have provided an update on Fleury's status from the hospital, stating that he is full alert and moving his extremities. More information to follow.

We have a scary scene in Winnipeg this evening after Winnipeg Jets defenseman Haydn Fleury left the game on a stretcher after crashing into the boards back first. Fleury was pushed into the end boards at high speed by Vegas Golden Knights forward Keegan Kolesar.

Fleury, of course, will not return to the game this evening and we'll standby for an official update on his health from the team.

As for Kolesar, he was forced to pay the price for his crime by squaring off with Jets captain Adam Lowry on his very next shift.
