We very rarely have trade rumors backed by so much physical evidence.

There have been trade rumors surrounding the struggling Calgary Flames for some time now and the same can be said of the Buffalo Sabres and the rumors surrounding them, specifically when it comes to forward Evander Kane, but on Sunday night when these two teams met we got a good indication of just how heavily involved in talks both sides really are

According to a report from The Fourth Period's Chad DeDominicis there were no less than thirteen teams with scouts in attendance for that one game. The team's with a presence are the following:

The Boston Bruins, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red wings Carolina Hurricanes, Philadlephia Flyers, Washington Capitals, San Jose Sharks, Nashville Predators, New York Rangers, New York Islanders and the Tampa Bay Lightning all had one scout on hand. The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens both had scouts as well as one of their assistant general managers in attendance, something that would seemingly indicate heavy involvement here.

No word yet on what deals may have been discussed with so many NHL teams present in one place at the same time.
