It now seems more than safe to say that Philadelphia Flyers captain Sean Couturier was not a big fan of his former head coach, John Tortorella.

Over the course of the past week or so, Couturier has taken numerous jabs at his former head coach and has done so in rather public fashion. Couturier was recently asked about his conversations with newly appointed head coach Rick Tocchet, and he used the opportunity to take what very much sounded like a shot at Tortorella.

"Already had some really good conversations with him," said Couturier. "Probably more over the last 3 months than I had over 2 years with Torts."

Couturier let out a little chuckle as he answered the question and it definitely came off as a player taking a shot at a head coach.

That wasn't the last time Couturier would do so either. Couturier recently spoke about the team's powerplay and laid the blame for the team's relative lack of success in that regard squarely at the feet of the former head coach.

"It was almost like the last couple years, guys were scared to make plays and get pulled off [the PP]," said Couturier. " It's not the mentality or philosophy you want to have going into a PP and trying to score a goal."

What do you think of Couturier's recent comments about the former Flyers' head coach? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
