The Seattle Kraken have unveiled their new mascot and to be perfectly honest I'm not quite sure what to make of it.
On Saturday night the Kraken introduced their fans to "Buoy" who will now take over as the team's official mascot. The first images of Buoy being introduced to the world came to us courtesy of Emerald City Hockey, who published a video of "Buoy the Troll" descending from the rafters in what was something of a bizarre debut to his career with the Kraken.
The Kraken have since released their own video to introduce the mascot, one that goes into more detail about how the Kraken arrived at the decision to make Buoy their new mascot.
