The Oak View Group, the group behind the bid to deliver an NHL team to Seattle, has announced that they’ve hired former Vancouver Canucks executive Victor de Bonis as their Chief Officer of Operations (COO).
The Seattle NHL group has hired former Canucks executive Victor de Bonis as COO.
It’s interesting to note that de Bonis has strong ties to former Canucks general manager Mike Gillis, who has been rumored to be in the mix for the GM position in Seattle, should the city be awarded a franchise. Of course, the Seattle group already has former NHL head coach Dave Tippet under contract. A management group of de Bonis, Gillis and Tippett would be a VERY impressive and experienced group, should the team elect to go that route.
