The NHL has announced earlier today its three stars of the week:
3. Toronto Maple Leafs, F Tyler Bozak:
In three games, the Leafs' forward scored four goals and added an assists for five points in three games. Boak recorded his second career hat-trick against the Colorado Avalanche and now has 24 points in 30 contests this season.
2. Dallas Stars, G Antti Niemi:
Niemi recorde a 2-01- record over his three starts last week. He had an impressive 1.02 goals against average with a .966 save percentage during that span, helping the Stars to grab back the lead in the general standings. His highlight of the week was his 35th career shutout when the Stars blanked the Chicago Blackhawks 4-0.
1.Calgary Flames, F Johnny Gaudreau:
The small forward was literally in fire last week, scoring 5 goals in only two games and registering his third career hat-tick. His production helped the Flames set a new franchise record for consecutive wins at home with 11 straight victories. His hat-trick was his second in the month of December.
