The Dallas Stars have been on a roll, winning five of their last six games as they make an important push for a spot in the postseason. Things weren't always jolly in Texas, especially earlier this season when CEO Jim Lites called out his star players Tyler Seguin and captain Jamie Benn, as he expected more for both forwards.
They surely find a way to answer his critics, however, Seguin might get some comments on his attempt to score in an empty net on Thursday night in a 4-1 win over the Minnesota Wild.
While the Stars forward gingerly skated to the Wild's empty to ensure his team's win, Seguin flipped the puck up high and completely missed the open cage. As he came around the net, Seguin had the perfect reaction to his failed attempt as the Minnesota crowd booed him.
He dropped his stick in disbelief, and kicked it away from him. He finally bent down to grab it, almost reluctant to pick it up in disgust.
It seemed to be the picture perfect move to describe Stars fans' reactions to his brain fart.
Here is what he had to say after the game:
Come on, Tyler!
