For the second time in two years, Ottawa based musician Kyle Ivan has gone viral on social media for all the wrong reasons.
Last season Ivan went viral for a cringe-inducing version of Blur's 1997 hit 'Song 2' with trite and cliche lyrics about the Ottawa Senators.
Remember this?
Yikes...
The backlash for that video was overwhelming, but evidently Ivan didn't get the hint.
Last week the musician released an Eminem inspired rap track that was equally as panned by fans.

So, like I say, Ivan was ridiculed by hockey fans across the league last week. Sens fans themselves have tried to distance themselves from Ivan and today the Senators themselves informed their fans that they've essentially banished Ivan to Taiwan for the duration of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Honestly... good on this guy, and on the Sens, for leaning into the joke. You tried something... twice... and it fell flat. Own it and turn it into a joke. I can respect that.
