The Ottawa Senators have recalled defenseman Ben Harpur from the Belleville Senators (AHL), the team announced on Friday. This move is linked to the injury to defenseman Chris Wideman, who will missed several weeks due to a lower-body injury sustained during yesterday's game agains the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Harpur, 22, was drafted 108th by the Senators in 2013. He played 14 games at the NHL level, registering one point. He didn't register a point in three games played with the Senators this season. He registered one point in four games played in the AHL.
The Senators will be playing against the Arizona Coyotes tomorrow afternoon.
