Sens are already shopping post-Phaneuf assets.

A lot of rumors have been running around the league in the past few days. The expansion draft changed the game for a lot of teams this year and most of the time, awkward decisions had to be made. However, other teams such as the Senators are looking for a bit of fresh air in the lineup and big assets are up for sale.

It's no secret Dion Phaneuf is on the market by now. Apparently, the right price hasn't been found just yet, but Pierre Dion is already shopping for a replacement.

There is trade interest in Phaneuf from outside his list, so Sens are in discussion with Newport to see if Dion is willing to be flexible.

It seems the interest is there for Phaneuf around the league and the phone has been ringing.
