Sens’ Claesson to have hearing for dirty hit

Ottawa Senators defenseman Fredrik Claesson will have a hearing Thursday for an illegal hit to the head of Boston Bruins forward Noel Acciari, that took place in last night's game.

The hit occurred in the first period of the Sens’ 5-1 loss to the Bruins. Claesson caught Acciari’s head on a blind-side hit.

The Sens blue liner received a game misconduct for the offence. Acciari stayed down on the ice for a few moments but did return to action in the second period.
