Let's say this is not going according to plans. Or according to Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion's plans, we should say. While forward Kyle Turris is tearing it up with the Nashville Predators since the transaction that sent him there from Ottawa, the star forward the Sens acquired in the deal is not doing much...

Matt Duchene has now gone six games without a point with his new team and fans on social media are noticing.

Meanwhile in Nashville, Turris has amassed two goals and three assists and scored the shootout goal on Wednesday to help the Predators get past Montreal Canadiens 3-2.

Dorion is patient and waiting for Duchene and Bobby Ryan's chemistry to bloom on the ice. The new member of the Pens commented on the recent struggles to the Ottawa Sun on Tuesday. Fans should be reassured. For now.

"I’ve said it many times, a season is full of peaks and valleys and 10 games from now, we could be having a totally different conversation.”

We will pick up the conversation then, Duchene.
