Setback in Letang’s recovery?

Injured Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang re-joined his team for practices earlier this week, albeit in a red “no contact” jersey. Letang, of course, has yet to play a game since suffering an injury in the Pens’ outdoor Stadium Series game against the Philadelphia Flyers late last month.

With Letang taking drills in practice it was thought that he was nearing a return and not a moment too soon for the inconsistent Pens. Unfortunately, a report from Penguins insider Jason Mackey seems to indicate that all may not exactly be on track when it comes to Letang’s recovery.

Check it out:

For someone with a history of concussions and head injuries that’s… that’s not good. Here’s hoping that it’s nothing serious and that Letang can shake things off, especially with two HUGE divisional games coming up against the rival Columbus Blue Jackets.
