Chicago Blackhawks star defenseman Seth Jones calls out his team after infuriating loss on Friday.

The Chicago Blackhawks were dealt a tough loss on Friday night at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets, letting the game slip away with just 64 seconds remaining on the game clock, and there's no doubt that the players in the Blackhawks locker room were also feeling that frustration.

The Blackhawks appeared destined to cruise to a 1-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets until Jets forward Mark Scheifele suddenly changed the course of the game with just over a minute left on the game clock.

Scheifele would completely ruin the night for the Blackhawks just moments later by scoring the overtime winner as well.

As you might imagine the Blackhawks weren't thrilled about the situation after playing a solid 59 minutes of hockey on Friday night, which would result in star defenseman Seth Jones openly calling out his team for doing just that.

"We played 59 great minutes," said Jones after the tough loss. "That's not gonna be good enough."

Jones' frustration is certainly understandable, especially after you consider some of the tough seasons he has had to endure since joining the Blackhawks. Jones commented on the fact that this might have been the most structured game the Blackhawks had played as a unit since he joined the team via a high profile trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and that effort resulting in a loss no doubt only added to his frustration.

On the line in the third period was also a potential first career shutout for Blackhawks goaltender Arvid Soderblom, and the fact that the Blackhawks were unable to secure that for him likely also played into Jones' frustration with the loss.

"He played unreal," said Jones of Soderblom's performance. "Unreal. Stood on his head all night, made big saves."

The Blackhawks will have to hope that they can quickly turn that frustration into something positive, with the team playing their second game of a back to back later tonight when they take on the Edmonton Oilers.
