Shane Wright death stares the Canadiens’ table after he finally gets drafted
He was expected to go first-overall, but fell to 4th place. And he’s mad:

Shane Wright expected to go first. Instead, he watched as Juraj Slafkovsky, Simon Nemec, Logan Cooley all went before him, getting picked by the Seattle Kraken in fourth place.
As Wright took the stage, it looked like he was shooting a glare at a table on the draft floor, and it turns out the death stare was directed to the Montreal Canadiens.
The team had the first overall pick and chose Slafkovsky, ruining Wright’s dream to be selected first. And boy do we see the daggers through his eyes:
Moments later, Wright still managed to thank the city of Montreal for its hospitality, but did say he’s now got a little chip on [his] shoulder.”
Will Wright make the Canadiens regret not taking him No. 1 overall? Only time will tell, but for now, Wright sent them a clear message. That fire in him will keep burning, no doubt!
