This just in, the San Jose Sharks have acquired prospect Henry Thrun from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a 3rd round pick.

The 21 year old Thrun reportedly chose not to sign a deal with the Ducks and is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason. It would look though as if the Sharks have some sort of indication that they can get him under contract otherwise they'll lose him this offseason while paying a pretty price to acquire him.

"While we are disappointed Henry chose to not sign with our club, we appreciate being notified of his intentions in advance of him becoming a Unrestricted Free Agent," said Ducks General Manager Pat Verbeek in a prepared statement. "We wish him the best of luck in his career."
