The Toronto Maple Leafs took a commanding lead over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night, only to completely collapse on home ice in front of their hometown fans, eventually allowing the Avalanche to come all the way back and win the game by a score of 5-3.

It was a disappointing night for the Maple Leafs to be sure, and following the game Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe felt the need to let everyone know just how disappointed he was.

Keefe's ire was largely reserved for one player, or perhaps it's more fair to say one line, when he publicly called out Maple Leafs star forward William Nylander during his post-game media scrum. Keefe described why he mixed up his lines throughout the course of the game, eventually admitting that Nylander's poor performance had been the catalyst.

"I just thought putting our best people together and going best on best gabe us a chance to keep the puck away from those guys a little bit more," admitted Keefe. "At the same time trying to get more out of Willy cause Willy on his line was not good."

If Keefe had left it there it would have been enough to make headlines, but the head coach went a step further by highlighting just how poorly he felt Nylander and his line had played.

"That line was not good for us at all tonight, I don't know if they had one good shift that I can remember," said Keefe bluntly. "So I had to get Willy away from that."
