Sheldon Keefe confirms injury to Matt Murray.

Bad news for the Leafs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs may once again be dealing with an injury between the pipes.

On Saturday, Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed that veteran goaltender Matt Murray is currently dealing with an injury. What's worse is that this sounds like there may be a fear that this will prove to be more serious, given that Keefe was unable to provide any additional details other than to say that Murray is currently undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury.

Murray has already battled injury this season and one of the major knocks against him when the Leafs acquired him had been his inability to stay healthy for any extended length of time during his tenure with the Ottawa Senators. The Leafs have certainly experienced their own share of issues with Murray in this regard, but hopefully this will prove to be a relatively minor issue moving forward.

Keefe did confirm that Murray will not play on Sunday against the Washington Capitals, indicating that it will be Ilya Samsonov who will get the start for tomorrow's game instead.
