Sheldon Keefe makes 4 last minute lineup changes in Seattle.
Sheldon Keefe has made a number of last minute changes to tonight's Maple Leafs lineup.
Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe is making some last minute adjustments on the road.
According to a report from TSN's Mark Masters, Keefe announced late on Sunday that he would be making 4 last minute changes to his lineup.
Stepping into the lineup this evening will be Maple Leafs forward Nicholas Robertson who has played relatively well when given the opportunity this season with 6 goals and 6 assists for a total of 12 points in his 26 games with the Leafs this season. Joining Robertson as a last minute addition to tonight's roster is Conor Timmins who draws back into the lineup after sitting out the last few games.
Two players being added to the lineup necessitates two players being removed and those players will be veteran defenseman Mark Giordano and forward Bobby McMann.
The team has attempted to manage Giordano's minutes this season so it comes as no surprise to see him get the night off. Keefe's motivation for the other last minute moves will likely be revealed when Keefe is asked about those moves following the conclusion of tonight's game.
