The Maple Leafs are currently struggling through some injuries at a less than ideal time of the season and it sounds like at least one of these could have potential playoff implications.

On Monday morning, a pair of Maple Leafs were notably absent from the team's morning skate when both forwards Bobby McMann and Max Domi failed to appear on the ice.

McMann was injured in Saturday's game against the Detroit Red Wings after he was tangled up with Red Wings forward Alex DeBrincat along the boards, and it sounds like he could potentially miss some time in the playoffs. What is certain is that McMann won't be back on the ice during the regular season.

"He’s not going to play in either of these last two games and then we'll just see how he is. We'll see where he's at as (Game 1) approaches," said Keefe on Monday.

Things sound like they might be somewhat similar for Domi, although his situation doesn't sound as serious. Keefe did admit that he does not expect to see Domi back on the ice for the Leafs in the regular season, but he didn't rule out the possibility entirely.

"He's not going to play tomorrow," confirmed Keefe. "I wouldn't expect him to play in Tampa either, though we'll see here he's at with it ... We'll see where Max and Bobby both are later in the week."

The Leafs have nothing left to play for other than pride at this stage of the regular season and it makes perfect sense that they are being overly cautious with their players with the playoffs just around the corner.
