UPDATE: It's confirmed. He's in!
This just in, it appears that Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski WILL play Game 1 of his team's second round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Seattle Kraken.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported earlier this evening that Pavelski took pre-game warmups for the Stars, meaning that he's likely to play this evening
Pavelski, of course, has been out of the Stars' lineup since suffering a concussion from an ENORMOUS hit dished out by Minnesota Wild defender Matt Dumba in round 1.
