Sid Seixeiro calls for Sheldon Keefe to be fired after Game 4.

The long time host of Tim and Sid has come back to the sports world to call for Sheldon Keefe to be fired.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have coughed up a 3-1 series lead to the Boston Bruins and once again staring down at the possibility of a first round Stanley Cup playoff exit. This is a story that fans in Toronto have heard many times before and with a growing sense of frustration around the team, many believe that changes will be inevitable should the Leafs capitulate to the Bruins in the first round.

The debate of course is around what form those changes will take, with some pointing the finger at the players on the roster while others pointing the finger at member's of the Toronto Maple Leafs staff. One man who certainly finds himself in that group is former host of Tim & Sid, Sid Seixeiro who over the weekend called on the Maple Leafs to fire their head coach after Game 4.

Seixeiro's outrage didn't stem from the game itself but rather from how Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe addressed the media following the conclusion of the game. It would seem that Keefe's comments about 'effort' following Game 4 are what caused Seixeiro to blow a gasket.

"Nothing wrong with our effort level here tonight," said Keefe following the loss. "You can question a lot of things, don't question the effort."

That answer it would seem was not what Seixeiro wanted to hear, causing him to call for Keefe, and several other unnamed members of the Maple Leafs staff, to be fired.

"I can name 10 people, at least, both on and off the ice that should not be with the Toronto Maple Leafs next season," said Seixeiro.

"Sheldon Keefe is near the top of the list. These postgame comments last night, on their own, are a fireable offense…"
