Sidney Crosby punches a players helmet off at World Championship.

Sidney Crosby was not going to be pushed around by Latvia at the World Championship.

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby isn't exactly known as the most physically imposing player in the National Hockey League, but that doesn't mean that he's willing to let himself be pushed around.

Although the season has already come to an end for the Penguins, Crosby is playing meaningful games this spring with the Canadian superstar representing his home country at the International Ice Hockey Federation's World championship. On Sunday, Crosby and his fellow Canadians took on the country of Latvia and it was during the course of that game that Crosby sent a clear message that he would not be pushed around on the ice.

It was former Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick Martins Dzierkals who got in Crosby's face around the Latvian net with the 28 year old forward doing some pushing and shoving that quickly resulted in Crosby popping him in the face with a short jab. Dzierkals didn't seem to like that too much and came back at Crosby who delivered an even stiffer jab to the face of Dzierkals, this time knocking his helmet clean off in the process.

Although it wasn't the hardest punch you're ever going to see it sent Dzierkals' helmet flying up into the air in hilarious fashion, making it appear as though Crosby had just won a game of Rock Em Sock Em Robots.

Here is a look at the replay of the incident in question:

Something tells me there won't be too many players looking to test Crosby moving forward in this tournament.
