Things got rough late in the first period and the star players on either side of the ice were not immune from those antics. After a battle for the puck behind the net, Sidney Crosby and P.K. Subban got tangled up and eventually went crashing to the ice, and that is when Crosby took advantage to land some cheap shots on Subban.

Crosby could be seen trying to shove Subban’s head up against the ice before dropping several short punches to the head of the Predators defenseman, and eventually both men were sent off with a matching pair of minor penalties.
