The Anaheim Ducks have announced that they’ve re-signed 25-year-old defenseman Josh Manson to a four-year, $16.4 million extension. The big blue liner’s new deal reportedly runs through the 2021-22 season and carries a cap hit of $4.1 million.

Manson established himself as a rock on the Ducks’ blue line last season, scoring five goals and 17 points in 82 games, while also throwing his 6’3”, 215 lb body around for 227 hits.

If you need any reminder just what Manson is capable of, just watch him dump 6’3, 217 lb Toronto Maple Leafs forward James Van Riemsdyk from last season:

Yikes. Scary stuff. How excited are Ducks fans to have this guy in their lineup for the next four seasons?
