Simmonds goes for the head on savage play.

These days, there's a lot of talk about suspensions and dirty plays in the league. Obviously, a lot of heat is placed on Sidney Crosby, but many other plays deserve our attention. 

One happened tonight, when Wayne Simmonds went for the elbow-to-the-head special on Brian Dumoulin. 

Interestingly, no call on the play from the referees was heard. 

It will be interesting to see if Simmonds get a call from the Player Safety Department about this one. He's a high profile player valuable to his team, but this sequence is crystal clear!
