Part time goalie, part time old school crease clearing Dman!

In case you missed it, team Slovakia avoided a potential relegation matchup by POUNDING team Kazakhstan 11-2 yesterday afternoon to wrap up play in the World Junior Championships preliminary round.
Andrej Kollar scored a hat trick, while Adam Ruzicka, Andrej Kollar and Marcel Dlugos each scored a pair of goals. Kazakhstan will now face Denmark in a relegation matchup.
After the game though all anyone could talk about was the hit dished out by Slovakian goaltender Samuel Hlavaj on a Kazak forechecker. Check it out:
Hlavaj absolutely DROPS the kid… and gets called for it! To be fair, you can’t just go around putting your shoulder into guys when they don’t have the puck, especially when it’s CLEARLY interference as this play is.
In any case, Hlavaj’s hit last night opened up the debate as to whether or not goalies should be considered “fair game” when it comes to contact. Should goalies get a free pass from being hit?
