Snoop Dogg linked to the purchase of the Ottawa Senators.
The legendary hip hop recording artist has joined one of the groups looking to purchase the Ottawa Senators.
The National Hockey League has been going through the high-profile sale of one of its franchises and, as more and more time goes on, we are learning more and more about the potential buyers involved.
Everyone of course has by now heard of the involvement of Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, who has aligned himself with the Remington Group, but now another major celebrity has entered the fray and aligned themselves with an opposing party.
According to a report from The Athletic, music recording artist Snoop Dogg has now joined a group led by Neko Sparks, the group that was rumored to have submitted the largest bid for a purchase of the Senators in the opening bidding process. Snoop is reportedly heavily involved in the process, even pitching ideas, but it is unclear at this time just how much of an ownership stake the legendary rapper would be acquiring in the team.
In terms of raw financial might the Neko Sparks group was considered to be among the favorites and the addition of Snoop Dogg has no doubt only made them all that much more formidable. A prominent figure like Snoop Dogg could not only draw in a great deal of publicity, but could also serve to entice other prominent figures in the entertainment industry to join the project.
