Son of Börje Salming drops the opening puck in Sweden

The extended Toronto Maple Leafs family as well as the entire hockey community lost a legendary player and one of the game's pioneers late last year with the passing of legendary Swedish defenseman Börje Salming due to complications from ALS. Salming, who played 16 of his 21 National Hockey League seasons with the Leafs, had his number retired by the club in 2016.
And prior to this afternoon's Global Series game between both of his former clubs in the Leafs and Detroit Red Wings, a touching moment was held. Anders Salming, the son of Börje, dropped the ceremonial first puck between Swedish natives William Nylander and Lucas Raymond:
