Can we really call it "The Michigan" if it's not from behind the net??
Back when he was with the Anaheim Ducks, Sonny Milano gave us one of the most memorable goals in recent NHL history.
Remember Milano batting home an unbelievable pass from Trevor Zegras three years ago?
Zegras went for "The Michigan" fakey and then flipped thhe puck to Milano in front of the net, who batted it home passed Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luuukonen.
Well evidently Milano wanted to try a new twist on "The Michigan", this time from the front of the net.
In the Washington Capitals' preseason game against the Boston Bruins this evening, Milano went for the net front Michigan or lacrosse-style goal, but he was stymied by Bruins netminder Joonas Korpisalo.
