Hellebuyck can't catch a break.
The topic of No-Movement Clauses has become a hot button topic among fans of the National Hockey League and fan sentiment has seemingly aligned fairly heavily against players who have either successfully used those clauses to force a trade to a specific team or those who have attempted to do so.
Much of the focus over the summer centered around the trade demands of Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin and Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, but while Larkin has returned to play Hellebuyck has chosen to step away from his team instead. This has led to Hellebuyck getting the brunt of the backlash and that backlash has now reached beyond just the sport of hockey.
Stand up comedian Emmanuel Lomuro recently posted one of his newest bits to his Instagram account, one in which he roasts Hellebuyck to quite the reaction from the crowd. While Lomuro himself admitted he wasn't the biggest NHL fan, nor did the crowd he was performing for appear to be either judging by their reaction when he asked them, it didn't stop him from getting a room full of laughs with his jokes on the topic.
I won't ruin any of his Hellebuyck jokes by spoiling them for you here, but you can hear and see a clip from his live performance in the video below:
