Stanley Cup contender looking at Vancouver for a trade?

It is too early in the season to exclude a team officialy from the playoffs, but the Vancouver Canucks are closer to Nolan Patrick than they are of a Stanley Cup ring. Which means, as the season goes on, rumors about them being sellers will intensify.

Among those players, Alexandre Burrows seems to be a perfect fit. He's earning 4.5 Millions and is set to be an unrestricted free agent when summer comes. Burrows had a rough start being scoreless in his first 10 games but has been riding a hot streak since then, notching 4 points in 5 games in an offense-struggling team.

According to Ben Kuzma, a few Stanley Cup contender will be calling Jim Benning to acquire Burrows, if the phone hasn't ringed already. "When trade deadline comes, i will be shocked if Alexander Burrows is still a Canucks" said Kuzma.
