This does not sound good.

It's very hard to know the extent of the injury at this time, information is very scare.

Here's what we do know, Winnipeg Jets star Blake Wheeler has been struck in the head by a puck during practice and has been forced to leave as a result. The shot reportedly came from teammate Dustin Byfuglien but we don't know much more than that.

TSN's Sara Orlesky was on hand at the practice and based on her report Wheeler was in a great deal of pain when he left the ice, certainly not something the Jets and their fans want to hear.

Wheeler has been on fire this season, scoring over a point a game with 21 in his first 20 contests.
