Star player day to day with concussion like symptoms.

Matt Duchene of the Colorado Avalanche is day-to- day with concussion-like symptoms after taking a hit to the head during Friday night's game against the Winnipeg Jets. 

With less than 6 minutes in the second period, Jacob Trouba caught Duchene up high while trying to hit him. Duchene was taking a shot so he was in a vulnerable position and he went down after the hit, stayed down for a bit and then ended up not returning to the game. It will be interesting to see if the NHL will take a closer look at the play. Trouba who is just back with the Jets after finally signing a deal with them is obviously rusty so he seemed to have reacted a bit late. He clearly caught Duchene in the head.

So far the NHL has not made any comment regarding the hit and Trouba was not given a penalty on the play.
