''I was still half asleep when I saw it. At first you are in shock, and you have to try to figure out what is going on.''

These guy are pros, they're paid richly to do the job and everything, we've heard all the arguments before. However, being traded is a whole different experience to them and they all live it differently. Sports Illustrated interviewed Marcus Johansson about his thoughts and feelings following the surprising trade that sent him to the Devils.

''I didn't get the sense that I would be moved. But you never know what is going to happen and there were a lot of guys that had to be- re-signed,'' Johansson said.

It's not the best feeling in the world to wake up with the news you've been traded to one of the worst team in the league. However, he's till joining quality players there, such as Taylor Hall and Travis Zajac. There's hope in New Jersey, although not a lot.

''As soon as it sunk in, you see all the positives, all the chances and opportunities to go somewhere else and create new memories for the family and new hockey memories as well, and be a part of something that I think is moving in the right direction,'' he said.

All in all, he's taking it like the real professional he is. It will be a lot different with his new team, but Johansson will probably do just fine. His 4.5M$ a year contract will probably help a bit too, let's be honest.
