A terrible injury at an even more terrible time for the Dallas Stars.
The Dallas Stars have just been dealt a pretty major blow at arguably the worst possible time.
On Saturday, Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan confirmed that the Stars will be without the services of one of their top forwards with the injury to forward Roope Hintz now confirmed to be a pretty serious one.
"He’s gonna miss some time," confirmed Gulutzan on Saturday.
It sounds like even the Stars themselves do not have the full picture of just how bad things are just yet with Gulutzan informing reporters on Saturday that Hintz still has to see another doctor before the team will have a more clear idea of just how much time Hintz will miss.
"He's got to go see another doctor, so we'll see how long that's gonna be," said Gulutzan.
Gulutzan did say that the team was hopeful that Hintz will be back in time for the upcoming Stanley Cup playoffs, but admitted that team will be without him for quite some time.
"It’s gonna be a couple weeks for sure," confirmed Gulutzan.
Hintz of course suffered the injury on Friday night during a clash against the Colorado Avalanche, with the injury occurring during a scuffle in the corner between Hintz and Avalanche star forward Nathan MacKinnon.

A terrible situation for the Stars to be sure.
