This just in, the Dallas Stars have scratched veteran defenseman Tyler Myers and have replaced him with Alex Petrovic.

Read below for our earlier report on Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin.

This just in, the Minnesota Wild will be without star defenseman Jonas Brodin for Game 6 tonight against the Dallas Stars.

Wild head coach John Hynes announced that Brodin is out day to day after suffering an injury from blocking a shot in Game 5.

It's really for today," Wild coach John Hynes said to the media earlier today. "It's one of the things that guys get evaluated and it's kind of a little bit of a moving target, so that's why today he'll be out, but I would classify him as day to day because as the day goes on, tomorrow, there could be an improvement or it could be the same."

Veteran Jeff Petry will draw into the lineup to replace Brodin.

"It's an opportunity for me to step in and make an impact," Petry said. "Just make sure that everything is off a strong defensive game and building that from there. It's an exciting opportunity. I know 'Brods' is a big part and no one wants to see him go down. It's bittersweet for that circumstance."

Petry will play on the Wild's third pairing alongside fellow veteran Zach Bogosian, while Jake Middleton will move up the depth chart to play alongside Jarden Spurgeon on the Wild's second defense pairing. Of course, Quinn Hughes and Brock Faber will hold down top minutes for the Wild's defense corps.
