Ottawa Senators' defenseman Erik Karlsson gets all the spotlight in Ottawa, but Mark Borowiecki is delivering an NHL leading performance of his own over the past three seasons.
The stay-at-home blueliner probably gave opposing players plenty of reasons to hate seeing him out on the ice as he's dolled out an NHL-leading 868 hits over the last three seasons.
That's more than 100 hits ahead of Roman Polak's 760, and Luke Schenn's 714 over the same period.
The 28-year-old Borowiecki has played all of his seven NHL seasons with the Senators, his 364 hits across 70 games last season marked a career-high. There isn't a whole lot else to his game, so he probably won't be going for much in fantasy leagues, but that doesn't mean he's not incredibly valuable to the Senators.
What Borowiecki does isn't pretty, in fact it's often pretty ugly...here are some highlights:
Wham, bam, thank you man!
