Status of Chris Tanev for Game 5 decided

For fans of the Dallas Stars (and Edmonton Oilers) who were waiting on pins and needles to see whether defenseman Chris Tanev would be available, we have the answer.

Taney was on the ice for the pregame shake tonight, and is set to be in the lineup for the crucial Game 5 of the Western Conference Final tonight at American Airlines Center.

And moments ago, NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed that Tanev would indeed be in action tonight for Dallas: 

He had originally been designated as a game time decision.

The winner of tonight’s game will take a three games to two series lead into the potential clinching Game 6 in Edmonton.
