The Vegas Golden Knights are headed back to the Stanley Cup Final for the second time in just their sixth year of existence.

The Golden Knights defeated the Dallas Stars 6-0 in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final to finally close the book on a series that it feels like they should have won more handedly.

The Stars managed to claw their way back into the series despite being down 3-0 to nothing in the series, but tonight the Golden Knights took care of business and, honestly, didn't even give the Stars a sniff in a very structured game.

The Golden Knights will now take on the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final, with Game 1 coming this Saturday, June 3rd in Vegas.

Interestingly enough, when NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly presented team captain Mark Stone and assistant captains Alex Pietrangelo and Rielly Smith opted NOT to touch the Clarence Campbell Bowl as Western Conference champions.

In his post-game interview Stone stated that the trophy is not the one they set out to win this season and that they'll wait to hoist the Stanley Cup next round.
