If this injury is anywhere near as bad as it looks, it will likely have a major impact on the Tampa Bay Lightning's hopes of another Stanley Cup Championship.

Defenseman Anton Stralman has left Friday night's match up against the New York Islanders after an awkward fall left him unable to put any weight on of one of his legs, so much so that he eventually needed help from two teammates to even make it to the locker room.

Stralman fell to the ice after he was tangled up with Islanders' forward Anders Lee in front of the Lightning net. Lee just appeared to out muscle Stralman who, while failling, planted the toe of his skate in the ice, causing his leg to bend awkwardly, appearing to put a very ugly looking strain on his knee. At the moment the Lightning have only confirmed that the injury is a lower-body one, although we believe that the knee was in fact where the damage was done.

Stalman has averaged 22:20 of ice time per game in the 72 games he has played for Tampa Bay this season, and he is a massive part of what they do defensively.
