It's like a fresh start for him.

Benoit Pouliot will be back on the ice tonight, after being activated from the Injured Reserve by the team earlier today.

Pouliot is no McDavid, we can all agree on that. However, the 6'3'' winger will get a crack at ending the season on a positive note. With his size and skills, he has the potential to make a difference on the ice if he gets going. This year, he scored a very humble 10 points in 51 games before being injured for roughly a month for undisclosed reasons.

He's expected to play with David Desharnais and Zack Kassian, a perfect fit for him. He already played with Desharnais in Montreal back in 2009-2010 and developed a good chemistry with him. Desharnais is a good passer, while Pouliot has one of the most potent wrister in the league. On the other hand, Kassian brings a ton of energy to the line, create space and reaches for tough pucks along the board.

Let's hope Pouliot can get out of his slump and add to the team like we know he can!
