Struggling Predators get some brutal injury to add to their already awful season
This team just can't catch a break.
The Nashville Predators have announced that forward Ryan O'Reilly will be out week to week after suffering a lower body injury.
From the team:
O'Reilly played just under 17 minutes last night in his team's loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, his third lowest ice-time of the season. He's managed 14 points in 26 games and was the team's leading forward in terms of ice time.
With O'Reilly going down with injury, the Preds are limited to Tommy Novak, Colton Sissons, Fedor Svechkov and Mark Jankowski down the middle. It's possible that Steven Stamkos gets moved back to the center position, but he has occupied the wing for years now.
Any way you slice it, this is a brutal break for a team that cannot afford any bad breaks.
Is the season already over for Nashville?
