A testament to the grit of Wild defenceman Ryan Suter was up held today as Suter will battle through today's game while in pain. Not that playing through pain is anything new to Suter, as he currently occupies one of the longest ironman streaks in the NHL.
He has not missed a game due to an ailment since joining Minnesota before the 2012-13 season. The only time Suter has not played was during his 2 game suspension earlier in the season. What makes his accomplishment so astounding is the amount of minutes he plays nightly. The 30-year-old is unparalleled and his 29:29 TOI average once again tops all skaters.
He s truly one of the toughest customers in the NHL.
