Sweet flirt going on between Shania Twain and Flames’ player

The Calgary Stampede was center stage over the past week and many celebrities attended the event. That of course included many of the Flames’ players who went to have a blast and one player in particular definitely had the most fan.

Goalie Dustin Wolf attended the Stampede, spotted at both the rodeo and chuckwagon races, wearing a Shania Twain’s t-shirt, which read Let’s go girls, a reference to a line from another of Twain’s hits. The picture of Wolf went viral, especially when the famous singer noticed it on social media and reposted the image with the comment:

‘He’s the cutest!” along with a heart-eyes emoji.

I mean this is an innocent flirt, but Flames’ fans AND country fans are loving it. Once Wolf was informed that Shania Twain had commented his picture, he couldn’t resist the urge to message back, using one of her own famous lyrics:

“She did say she’d getcha good”

At least, she didn’t reply: ”That Don’t Impress Me Much”

Twain was the Stampede parade marshal this year and also played a concert last Saturday at the Scotiabank Saddledome, where Wolf usually handles the cage.

I mean, the whole thing is actually cute. The posts have been trending ever since and I’m sure it’s also a sign that fans in Calgary, and pretty much across the NHL are mising hockey and cannot wait for the 2025-26 season to get underway.

Still a few months to go, but I guess in the meantime, we can all have a flirty summer like Shania and Dustin, or at least enjoy her songs while we all await for puck drop.
