Once it became clear that he wouldn't return with the Toronto Maple Leafs, defenseman T.J. Brodie began assessing his options, and he's found his new home.
Joining his second Original 6 squad, he becomes the latest addition for the Chicago Blackhawks, who have signed a bevy of new players on the opening day of the NHL free agency period:
In 908 career NHL games with the Leafs and Calgary Flames, Brodie has scored a total of 56 goals with 292 assists for 322 points. He's also added five goals and 17 assists in 56 career playoff games.
