T.J. Oshie receives incredible tribute before his 1000th game.
Beloved National Hockey League forward T.J. Oshie receives a wonderful tribute from the Washington Capitals on Sunday.
It was a big day for Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie, and thankfully his team made sure it will be a big day he never forgets.
On Sunday, as the Capitals continued to fight for their playoff lives in an early game against the Winnipeg Jets, Oshie was treated to a special tribute for his 1000th career game in the National Hockey League. Oshie, who established himself in the NHL as a member of the St. Louis Blues, has spent the majority of his career with the Capitals at this point and has played most of those 1000 games in a Capitals uniform.
The tribute not only featured highlights from Oshie's career with the Capitals, but it also featured a number of current and former teammates who had a few kind words to share with the beloved NHL forward.
Oshie received a great ovation from the fans in attendance after the video had finished playing, but it was right back to business for the man himself with his team still competing for their spot in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs.
