Tampa locks up Pat Maroon to multi-year contract extension

Three time Stanley Cup champion Pat Maroon has signed a two year contract extension worth $1 million AAV with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Maroon, of course, is a three time Stanley Cup champion going back to back to back with the St. Louis Blues and then twice with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The 33 year old power forward nicknamed Big Rig has played 45 games with the Lightning this season, recording seven goals and 13 points along with three power-play goals. He joined the Lightning as a free agent prior to the 2019-20 season after winning a Stanley Cup with his hometown St. Louis Blues.
